Resistance (2020)
Marcel Mangel wordt geboren als zoon van Anne Werzberg en Charles Mangel, een Joodse koosjere slager van Poolse oorsprong. Nadat ze verhuizen naar Straatsburg in Frankrijk ontdekte hij de wereld van de muziek en het theater door zijn vader, zelf een bariton, die hem regelmatig meeneemt naar voorstellingen. Wanneer de Twee Wereldoorlog uitbreekt moet het gezin vluchten. In 1942 besluit hij zich bij het Franse verzet te voegen en verandert hij zijn naam in Marcel Marceau om zijn Joodse afkomst te verbergen. Met zijn mimekunsten probeert hij te overleven en de levens te redden van Joodse weeskinderen wier ouders door de nazi's zijn vermoord.
